Honey color translucent stone carved abstract head with small mouth, curved chin, and prominent brow with deeply recessed almond shaped eyes to receive inlays. 5-3/4" (14.6cm) H. + custom mount. 7003. Luristan Bronze Dagger, Caspian Sea Area, Ca. 1st Millennium BC. A slender pointed blade with pointed tip opposite a handle which recessed for inlays. Excellent emerad green patina. Intact blade, handle with some loss. 15-3/8"L. There is a large corpus of metal work excavated from the ancient Near East. Luristan artisits are perhaps the most famous as mounted nomadic warriors with fancy horse trappings, Master of theAnimal finials, standards, tubes, cheekpieces swords and daggers. Ex.
