Late Period, after 600 B.C.   A beautiful wood carving representing the falcon god, Sodpu, with wings folded under, the body decorated in crimson and black natural mineral pigments, the face and neck in white, wearing a beaded collar with an old collection label on the base which reads

Size 4-1/2 in (11cm) H.  x 6-3/8 in L.
