West Mexico, Protoclassic Period, circa 100 B.C. - A.D. 250

A beautiful elegant figure seated with legs drawn up close to body and hands resting across knees upon which his large elongated head rests from an extended exaggerated cylindrical neck. Overall painted in a red slip pigment, he is adorned with ear clips and head band and represents the highest from of ancestor veneration.
