Ecuador, Ca. 500 AD.

A lovely expressive example of a seated shaman figure, expressive with hand gestures and fabulous voluminous hair in nodes and open ear spools. adorned with loincloth, necklace and with face and ear ornaments. Good size: 10-1/2 in H. Wonderfully expressive. EX NY Private Collection (Steinberg). Ornate and well preserved and crisp details.
