11551. Fine Large Colima Pottery Parrot Vessel

West Coast, Mexico, Ca. 100 BC. to 200 AD.

A large deeply globular vase with flat rim and the vase stands on three lovely parrot legs, each with wings folded and tail feathers at the back; painted overall in deep reddish brown.

Size 14 inches Diameter x 11 inches H.

Intact and excellent mineral staining. Massive and impressive in person.
