12354. Etruscan Terracotta Votive Bust of a Male Youth

Circa 4th to 3rd Century BC.

A fine voluminous face with full lips, thin nose, staring almond shaped eyes, short wavy hair visible under veil, his hand (now gone) visible from his enveloping gown. Remains of original slip pigment to surface and mineral deposits.
Size 16 inches (40.5 cm.) Height + custom mount. Provenance: Ex collection Simone de Monbrison. Published in the catalog of the gallery, 1987 No. 15.
