Egypt, XVIII dynasty, Ca. 1500 BC from Sawama

Finely rendered sycamore wood mask face with pleasing facial features; raised brow lines, full lips, rounded nose and headdress across forehead; flat back and with residual tenons remaining; yellow and black pigment on surface. Size 9-7/8 inches H. + custom table or wall mount included. Nice in person. Pencil memo Dec. 31, 1930. Provenance MacMurray College, Jacksonville, Illinois and was originally from the Collection of a professor, Dr Wallace M Sterns 1930s, who was a member of the Egyptian Exploration fund in 1914
