Middle Kingdom, Ca. 2000 BC

A grouping of five tomb figures; three standingfigures with moveable arms and wearing kilts; one boatman with articulated arms and one where only the bust and moveable arms remain. Overall pigments applied for skin tone with black hair and white and black painted eyes. Wear and losses; abrasions. Sizes: From 5 inches to 8-3/4 inches H. + custom mount. Provenance Ex MacMurray College, Jacksonville, Illinois, originally collected by a professor, Dr Wallace M Sterns, in the 1930s. He was a member of the Egyptian Exploration fund in 1914.
