13297. Costa Rican Pottery Polychrome Bird Whistle

Guanacaste-Nicoya, Period V-VI Ca. 800 to 1200 AD.

Polychrome decorated pottery parrot form whistle, standing on long legs with a tail mouth piece. Overall geometric decoration in red-orange and black on a tan ground. Both legs reattached, otherwise intact, excellent condition. Size: 3-5/8”H. x 3-3/8”L.
