Circa 1000 to 500 B.C.

Fine and solid buff color pottery “Pretty Lady” figure depicted with wide hips and incised fancy hairdo, animated facial expression highlighted with some remaining areas of yellow ocher & red surface pigment. Size: 3-1/2 inches H. + custom mount. Provenance: Collection of Sidney Berman NYC. Scattered mineral deposits on the surface. A beautiful example. Compare with similar examples in Man Eaters and Pretty Ladies. A landmark catalog exhibition. Montreal Museum of Art, 1971.
