Remojadas, Mexico, Ca. 600-900 A.D.

Large buff-tan pottery seated deity holding both hands on his knees, wearing a long skirt and applied necklace. Tightly rowed spiked hairdo, painted with black bitumen. Wearing spool earrings. Painted x decoration on the chest.

Size: 18-3/4”H. x 9-1/4”W. Professionally restored from approx 34 pieces.

Provenance: John A. Moir, Jr. Trust of 2013.
