13800. Attic Black Figure Miniature Neck Amphora attributed to the Light-Make Class

Compare similar example in Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum (CVA) New York, The Metropolitan Museum of Art iv (U.S.A. 16), 62-63, Pl. 48, 1-8 (Beazley Archive 30598) A delicate vessel with thick rim, bulbous body and raised disc foot; twin handles on either side from shoulder to rim. Decorated in black figure technique with mythological subject matter consisting of an epic battle. Obv: three warriors on one side in battle; Rev has a warrior, most likely Achilles with attendant on either side. Various decorative leaves and devices in the field and between figures under handles, neck and foot.
