Guerrero Mexico, Late PreClassic, Ca. 300 to 100 B.C.

A flat carved grayish-green stone slab, the facial features carved in relief with heavy brows and puffy cheeks, perforated eyes, mouth and attachment holes in corners. Size: 6 inches H. x 5 inches W. + custom mount. Overall surface weathering and aged patina.
Ex. collection of Roy Peter Altman, acquired ca. 1980s, by descent to the present owners.
