13868. Greek Core-formed White Blue & Yellow Glass Amphoriskos
Eastern Mediterranean, Hellenistic Circa 2nd Century BC
A fine dark blue in color, ovoid body with sloping shoulders, long cylindrical neck, and disk rim, with opaque yellow and white marvered threads wound spirally along the rim and neck and tooled into a feather pattern in the middle of the body, with applied twin vertical handles and base-knob. Scattered areas of iridescence. Size: 6-1/4 inches L. + custom mount. Provenance: Ex D.K. N.Y. private collection, acq 2000s.
