13885. Fine Corinthian Pottery Olpe with Animal Friezes
Circa 570 BC.
The body decorated with three rows of friezes of panthers and bulls and deer amid flowers added in umber slip, with two rotella atop the handle which joins the body and flaring rim. Size 12 inches (28 cm) high. Repaired at rim. Provenance: Ex NY private Coll D.K. Acq 2000s. TL positive for authenticity.
