14124. Costa Rican Yellow-green Jade Stone Axe God

Guanacaste/Nicoya region, Ca. 1 to 500 AD

A carved and polished light green speckled jadite stone pendant of an incised bird headed figure with large circular drilled eyes, triangular beak and with hands together at the waist. Drilled through the neck for suspension.

Size: 3-1/4 inches H. + custom mount. Fine high gloss polish example in excellent intact condition.
Provenance: The William W. Brill collection, NYC., by inheritance to family.
