14142. Enormous Roman Pale Yellow Glass Unguentarium

Eastern Mediterranean, ca 1st to 3rd Century AD

An unusually large free blown glass vessel having a long cylindrical chamber with slight bulge in the center and wide, flat, rolled lip, and pointed base. Exterior with areas of iridescence. Intact! Size: 18-7/8 inches length! + custom mount. Very good condition. Nice example. Ex D.K. a NY collection acq 2000s.
