14199. Khmer Bronze Figure of the Goddess Uma

Cambodia, c. 12th to 13th century AD.

Cast on integral base and with nude upper torso; she wears an elaborate dhoti decorated with a vertical plaiting and frontal sash in relief. She holds objects at front in each hand. She is bejeweled with neckless, armlets, earrings, and headdress. Condition: Intact. Size: 6-1/4 inches H. Ex Collection of Richard S. Ravenal.
