Near East, Ca. 605-562 BC.

Inscribed in a cuneiform script. Translated as follows: Nebuchadnezzar, great king, strong king, king of the universe. Nebuchadenazzar, King of Babylon, Provisioner of the Esagit Temple and the Ezida Temple, First born son of Nabopolassar, King of Babylon I am. Ebbabara, the temple of Shamash in Larsa I restored as it was before, for Shamash, my Lord, I built.

Nebuchadnezzar ruled over Babylon from 605-562 BC, expanding the empire and transforming the city of Babylon into the envy of the ancient world.
