14328. Apulian Red-figured Trefoil Chous (Oinochoe)
South Italy Ca 4th Century BC Good size elaborately decorated bulbous vessel with disc foot and handle from rim to side walls. Decorated in classic red-figure technique with a seated draped female, probably the goddess Aphrodite holding a thyrsos (staff decorated in leaves and garlands). Standing before her is the God Eros holding a mirror. To her left stands another draped maiden.
Size: 9-1/4 in. H. Multiple repairs and small infill in painted lines.
