14390. European Bronze Age Spiral Fibula
Late 2nd to early 1st Millennium BC
A fantastic design consisting of a flattened spiral wire; the middle section of a thicker boat shape with incised markings. Various wire curves leading the large spiral which serves as the catch plate. The undeside with long coiled spring loaded pin; intact. Size: 4-1/4 inches Length + custom mount Condition: Excellent intact, deep green patina. Provenance: Acquired by decedents Mark and Lottie Salton; Hartsdale, NY, 1950s-1960s.
