14522. Nayarit Pottery Seated Female with Offering Bowls

West Mexico, Ixlan Del Rio, Ca. 200 BC to 300 AD.

A lovely abstract figure a with wonderful personality, molded in red clay with a bowl atop her head and one in her stubby raised left hand. Overall ochre and maroon painted in geometric patterns. Surface covered with manganese and lime depoists. Size: 8-3/4 inches H.
