14570. Greek Core-formed Glass Amphoriskos

Eastern Mediterranean, Hellenistic Circa 3rd to 2nd Century BC

Blue and yellow color, core-formed glass amphoriskos with tapered body with rounded shoulders, cylindrical neck, flaring to the broad disk rim, and with applied handles. The body with bands of opaque yellow and dark blue in a finely marvered feather pattern, threads wound spirally around the neck, and an applied yellow thread at the edge of the rim. Overall silvery iridescent surface patina. Repairs.
Size: 6-1/8 inches H. + custom mount.
