14650. Cypriot Limestone Head of a Votary

Circa 6th Century BC

Carved in an archaic style and wearing a conical headdress, fine facial features, and ornate ear ornaments. From a full standing figure.

Size 4-1/8 inches H.; 5-3/8 on custom mount.

Provenance: Acq. Adam Partridge, Cheshire English ,where it was sold as private UK collection assembled from registered dealers in the 1980s and 90s.

Cypriot stone figurative sculpture is very rare.
