A fine seated naturalistic figure with pleasing facial features, disc ear spools, arms resting in lap and with one arm, elbow bent, held to face. Size 5-3/4 inches H. Repaired. Cp. Pre-Columbian Art of South America by Alan Lapiner and EQUATEUR LA TERRE ET L'OR, L'exhibition, Paris, 1989 no. 32 for similar examples of this type. Ex lifetime coll of Drs. Siskind and Tuttman, NYC, no A45 penned underneath.
