14723. Mycenaean Pottery Stirrup Jar

Late Bronze Age II, ca. 1450-1200 BC

An pottery vessel with twin handles and funnel neck spout. Bulbous upper body has a tapered foot. Decorated with banded decoration in orange pigment on cream ground. Size: 3-5/8 inches H. Age wear, spout restored.

Provenance Ex Collection of Dr. Edward D Joseph. With an old foxed notebook page no 13. which states it was purchased in Athens Greece in January 1972.
