14738. Vera Cruz Smiling Pottery Sonriente Head

Gulf coast of Mexico, Remojadas, Ca. 600 to 800 AD.

An effigy head from a full figure, he wears a headdress and ear ornaments on his triangular head. He has wide almond eyes and smiling open work grinning mouth.

Size 5-3/8 inches H.; 7-1/2 on custom mount.
