14749. Ancient Egyptian Faience Ushabti for a Lady: Na-iret-bastet-nefre

Late Period, 26th Dynasty ca. 664 - 525 BC

A pale green glazed faience mummiform ushabti, wearing a tight fitting garment and smooth wig, holding implements in both hands, and wearing a seek sack over left shoulder. Register of finely rendered hieroglyphics down the back pillar translate to: “Illuminate the lady of the house, Na-iret-bastet-nefret.”
Size 4-7/8 inches H.
Provenance: From the estate of Michael Fellman, Walnut Creek, CA. with copy of a 1990 appraisal from C.L. Wysuph and Associates featuring this shabti, no 24.
