14833. Fine Daunian Terracotta Kyathos with Creatures on Handle

Ca. 525 to 475 BC.

Wide shallow ritual bowl with stylized animal creatures atop the strap handle, each rendered in geometric forms with small double eyes atop the flattened strap handle. Nice remains of brown painted pigment over cream ground surface. Great decoration. Size 5- 7/8 inches diameter x 5-1/4 inches H. Good condition, age worn.
