15036. Luristan Bronze Short Sword

Caspian Sea Area, Ca. 1st Millennium BC.

A typical bronze short sword used in Persia during the Iron Age; cast with blade tapering to a point; broad raised midrib. The compartmental handle once held inlays. Two small chips to blade, a solid surface, intact, with a very fine patina.
Size: 16½" inches length + custom mount.
