Eastern Empire, ca. 2nd-3rd Century A.D.

A naturalistic idealized face of a handsome boy carved from matte white stone with short tossed hair, sensitive piercing eyes with drilled pupils , delineated eye brows, fleshy lips and rounded chin. Overall in fine attractive condition, repaired and restoration to the nose. Size 9 inches H. + custom mount. Ex Collection of Nancy and Earl Keefer, acq 1980s.
