15086. Nepalese Gilt Bronze Standing Deity

Ca. 19th century AD or earlier

Depicting a beautiful ornate standing female deity, crowned, with sashes flowing, and she holds meditation implements, standing on a cast double lotus gilt bronze base. This style of Buddha is similar to those which have been made in Nepal since the 13th century, and contains many of the characteristics of an earlier piece. Size: 10-3/8 inches Height. Ex New York Private Collection.
