15102. Roman Marble Head of a Youth with Tossed Hair
Ca. 1st to 3rd Century AD. A fine carved white marble head of a youthful male, originally from a figure. Depicted with a finely sculpted full curly hairdo. Very naturalistic facial features, having a furrowed brow, full bow shaped lips and lidded eyes, looking slightly to the right. Size: 7 inches H. x 5 inches W. + custom bronze covered base. Provenance: Private NYC collection; Beppe Pattitucci, Tel Aviv and New York, 1980s-2022. A very beautiful work of ancient art.
