A quality luxury vessel, well made with? thin walls so as to be translucent under light. This banded alabaster amphora, once with twin arched handles with twin ibexes under each handle. Pierced for suspension and holes in animal heads at ear level suggests separately made and inserted horns to complete an elaborate composition.? Condition: damages and losses to rim and handle. Was once a spectacular luxury item.? Size: ?6-1/4 inches hight. Provenance: Ex Collection of Jay I. Kislak; Miami Florida.
