15175. Bactrian Open work Compartmental Seals (4)

Bronze Age, Ca. 2nd to 1st Millennium BC.

Four different cast bronze compartmental stamp seals, three in a shape of a cross within a circular outer border one with a scalloped edge. Suspension loop on the reverses. These seals were probably used to mark pottery containers. All have strong blue-green surface patinas.
Intact. Diameter: 1-5/8 inches to 2-5/8 inches diameters.
