Nayarit, West Mexico, Ca. 300 BC to 200 AD. A choice and sensitive cream slip ware pottery seated female figure with bulbous hips and holding both hands arms at her sides. Painted red-orange and brown decorative elements and details. Scattered strong mineral deposits on the surface. Intact, excellent condition. Size: 8-1/2 inches H. + custom mount. Provenance: Ex. Nancy and Dr EF Simpson Collection, Los Angeles CA, acquired 1970 to 2000.
