15201. Vera Cruz Pottery Seated Male Effigy Figure

Gulf coast of Mexico, Remojadas, Ca. 600 to 800 AD.

The figure is shown seated cross-legged, his headdress is painted with black tar highlights. He wears an ornate crown made by many rolled filets, long neck cords and earspools.
Size 10-3/8 inches H.
