15216. Tairona Pottery Standing Shaman Whistle Ocarina

Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia, Ca. 1250 to 1300 AD.

A fine brown ware terracotta burnished ocarina/whistle masterfully modeled depicting a seated Shaman/Priest with profile heads appearing sat either side and with elaborate incised pectoral collar. He sits with hands to front holding a staff. Superb craftsman ship and detail.
Size 5 inches Height.
Excellent fine style, strong sound, knees abraded, earth deposits.
