15318. Nazca Pottery Polycrhome Globluar Vessel

Peru, central coast SA, Circa 200 to 500 AD.

A hand-built pottery vessel with a spherical body, rounded base, and a pair of spouts with stirrup shaped handle arching between them. The highly burnished surface decorated with red ground on which are two anthropomorphic deities, each with cat-like heads and snake-like bodies in black, orange, white, red, and gray pigments.
Size: 6 inches H (15.2 cm)
