Ca. 450 to 650 AD

A carved dark stone effigy mask of idealized beauty with protruding slender curved nose, drilled almond eyes, once held inlays, rectangular ear protrusions, losses and damages and chips, and subtlety modeled lips. Attachment holes atop corners. Nice presence. Size 5-7/8 inches height + custom mount. Various erosion and damages & good ancient weathered surface. Ex Private FL Collection, acq by descent.
