15531. Egyptian Faience Amuletic Hathor Headed Sistrum Handle

Late Period, Ca. 715 to 30 BC.

Good green faience composition fragment of a musical instrument upper part. The goddess head is janiform, to either side, and wearing broad collar, and wearing a red and white crown with shrine. Attached at the shrine is the instruments curved section, open and pierced where bells on rods would have been suspended from between the holes at either side.
Size: 3 inches H. + custom mount. Excellent condition.
Provenance: Ex Montreal Canada 98 year old Ladies collection, acquired 1970s. Rare.
