Mesopotamia, Early Dynastic Period, Ca. 2600–2500 B.C.

A fine molded head with bald pate, naturalistic ears, outlined almond shaped eyes, full mouth and wide neck, to be inserted into a separately made body. Size: 1-3/4 inches (4.4 cm) H. + custom mount.
Provenance: Ex Brooklyn NY Coll, Acq from Dave Libert, Time Machine buy or bid sales; Flushing NY, early 2000s. Choice and rare item.
