Middle Hills of Nepal, Gurung or Magar peoples Circa 19th to 20th Century AD

Primitive wood carved face mask of simplified human form with triangular nose, pierced oval eyes and rectangular slit mouth. Dark thick glossy patina with vestiges of hair. Classic ‘old man of the mountains- face.
Size 9-3/4 inches L. Some losses to left edge. Ex C. Warren collection acquired from Robert Brunage.
