15723. Manteno Pottery Figural Head
Ecuador, Circa 800 to 1200 AD A fine burnished chocolate color human elders head with a large pierced nose (probably once held a nose ornament), wrinked face smooth bag headdress with small bird at front and incised markings; complex ear ornaments.
Size 4-1/2 inches Height + custom mount. Penned on behind in French or Spanish is an old inscription as to culture and form.
