5780. Well Documented Paestan Red Figure Lebes Gamikos

A fine vase with excellent provenance attributed to the Asteas-Python workshop, both sides with a female head in profile to the left, one wearing a dotted kekryphalos, the other wearing a dotted headband (sphendone), tongues on the shoulder, palmettes below the handles, the lid with black palmettes on the upper surface, bead-and-reel on the rim.
