Guerrero Mexico, Late PreClassic, Ca. 300 to 100 B.C.

A flat carved grayish-green stone slab, the facial features carved in relief with heavy browline and slightly puffy cheeks, perforated eyes and mouth. Size: 6-3/8”H. Overall surface weathering, cuts, abrasions and light erosion.
Ex. collection of Imre and Nicholas T. Molnar, acquired between 1960-1978, by descent to the present owners.
