A short spout with a flared mouth is set at one side, and a strap handle arches over the top. The body was originall in red-figire technique (now eroded) dipped in black gloss, which now survives mainly on the lower body, the foot and the spout. The rest of the surface shows the orange clay, with drips and dabs of gloss that fired black or reddish-brown. Used to pour small amounts of oil or other liquids, perhaps for wine or for filling lamps. The gloss is largely worn or flaked away from the upper body and handle, and there are surface scratches and buff deposits.

Size: 5-1/2 inches (14 cm) H. x 4 inches (10.2 cm) W. x 3 inches (7.6 cm) D.

Ex German Collection.
