Surface shows dark manganese-oxide deposits and traces of original orange slip consistent with extended burial.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe horned headdress figures are well-documented in Colima art and appear in major museum collections including the Met, LACMA, and Cleveland Museum of Art. These figures are generally associated with the Comala style phase of Colima ceramic production. The solid (as opposed to hollow) construction and relatively small scale  is typical of shaft tomb offerings, often accompanying larger hollow figures\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSize  7 in.
