Rendered is a stylized papyrus columns (wadj) or lotus blooms flanking an architectural column or djed-like pillar of endurance, crowned at the upper perimeter by an arched solar or celestial canopy. In Egyptian symbolic language, the papyrus stalk and lotus signify flourishing vitality, youth, and perpetual renewal, while the vertical pillar denotes stability and lasting endurance. Flanking this central column on both sides are pairs of deeply incised, inward-curling hooked S-scrolls and spirals.
