Hellenistic Circa 3rd to 2nd Century BC

Ornate pair of  earrings with circular floral disc atop, each decorated with applied filigree flower petals. Below suspended by a loop is a winged Eros holding a patera and garland. 
XRF compositional alaysis contains:
Gold (Au): 85.90 ± 0.14%
Silver (Ag): 11.24 ± 0.10%
Copper (Cu): 2.50 ± 0.07%
Iron (Fe): 0.35 ± 0.10%
This composition perfectly aligns with typical ancient Mediterranean gold artifacts, which traditionally contained:
Gold: 70-90%
Silver: 5-25%
Copper: 1-5%
Iron: trace amounts
The 20.6K gold purity and composition suggests the metal wasn't refined to increase purity, which is consistent with ancient Mediterranean metallurgical practices. The presence of natural silver content and trace copper is typical of Mediterranean gold artifacts from antiquity.
